Admin: Maintenance

Ideally, the back-end (like a car engine) of a web site would be cleaned up every two weeks, but I was such a coward that I huddled in a small dark corner and pretended there wasn’t a need for it.

It’s three months since the site went live, so it’s clearly time to put a boot up my rear and get on with it. I keep telling myself that it’s kinda like how it is with dentists. “Even you’d rather yank your teeth out and toss yourself off the nearest zillion-floor tower, you still have to go. It’s for your own good.” (This doesn’t quite make sense, but let’s pretend it does.)

Today PresenceDear.com will be down for maintenance between 2:00PM (EDT) and 4:00PM (EDT)… well, 4-ish PM.

There will probably a hic-cup or two after it’s done. Hopefully, not a major hic-cup, but if there is, it’ll be sorted as swiftly as a dog after a car.

Update on the direct download issue…

Your efforts to keep the site online have really helped. After the appeal was made, 80% of direct download links outside this site disappeared and many of you made the effort to download from badongo instead of using direct links. All this has helped to keep the site online. We really, really appreciate your help. Thank you. ^_^
