Stolen Project

I’m posting this here and on my journal because what I have to say is very important.

Someone stole a project from me, Three Quarters, by Yamagata Satomi. It’s doubly unfortunate because one of the chapters she chose was one I’d already started translating. Naturally, I’m very upset. I might even describe it as “heartbroken.” It doesn’t feel good to know your hard work on something you love is wasted.

That said, I want to make this perfectly clear. All the projects listed here and on my journal will be completed. I’m sorry if I can’t put things out at the speed of lightening. I am one person with a full time job during the day and I’m a member of dance group that rehearses at night. My time is very limited. Nevertheless, I probably put more effort into translating than anything else I do right now. My projects are extremely important to me. If a chapter is not coming as fast as you’d like, I’m very sorry, but it will come eventually. Please be patient.

Also, I do not list rough drafts that are not complete on my forthcoming page. That doesn’t mean I haven’t started working on them. I just don’t want people to expect a release before I have an idea when it’s coming. If you’d like to speed things up, please contact me and offer to help. Often the delay is because I can’t get a Japanese-English speaker to help me with revising or the difficult parts. I’m completely open to receiving help from others. But taking matters into your own hands is quite hurtful and disappointing. Please contact me before doing any work on a project listed here. Thank you.

As a…arh..leecher,I probably don’t understand your feeling very well but as you states clearly that the projects are very important to you then I assume that your heart must be broken as your precious one is stolen. Please let me express my sincere condolences.

However,I still think that your scanlations are always beautifully done. I don’t know much about japanese language and have zero idea on photoshop (don’t even have the software in my laptop) so I’m not a QC for sure but as in a normal reader’s eyes, your scanlations are neat and clean, always pleasurable to flip one page after another. Sure thing that your choices,Yamagata and Kunieda sensei’s works, are excellent but you yourself play an crucial part in the excellence of the english scanlations.

Regarding the speed matter, I don’t think you are slow at releasing at all. Actually I am quite surprised to learn that you are the only one doing all the work!! So this is pretty fast for such a huge job. I think you’ve been doing fine and I’ve never run impatient on your scanlation, always willing to wait for such a exceptional piece of art from your website so don’t push yourself too much. Just take your time and keep your pace. I don’t think any other scanlation can replace yours. At least I’m one that will be looking forward to your scanlation, not other’s work.
(And gosh Three quaters is so intriguing!! I’m dying to know what’s going on with Yamashita!!)

Well..I’m really bad at talking (and English too) but please rest assured that your hard work is fondly appreciated and I am sure that I am not the only one. Gambatte!

Do take care :-)

Yanira Rivera’s avatarI am really sorry about this. I truly look forward to your scanlations and appreciate the effort and care you put into each and every project. The time it takes to translate each project doesn’t matter because you want to do a good job. Please continue what you were doing regardless of what the other person did. She or They should recognize you had the project to be worked first and should be respected. There are many other projects to be worked on. It really shows the lack of maturity this person(s) have if they are unable to understand after being informed of the situation. So, please do not feel discouraged, ne? Keep it up! You have fans and a life to live! We can and will wait!

They say that patience is a virtue, and since I like your scans so much, I’m more than willing to wait for them. I’m a silly little leecher like Rubis, but if I could help you, I would… Sorry. And Good Luck.

dewi’s avatari am so sorry to hear about the stolen project…. but gambatte kudasai for all of your projects,,,, otsukaresama deshita nee

bun^ny’s avatarThank you for the new release! Much appreciated and I enjoyed it very much.

Nara’s avatarKeep up ur good work honey! You’re really amazing coz you’re doing it without anyone’s help.
I enjoy almost everything you realease, and I really like your translations, they’re awesome! And I’m a fan of yours =D !!
Ganbatte kudasai !
Gokurou sama deshita! ^___^v

It seems s/he’s apologized about this on the site’s lj: http://tisheenamanzana.livejournal.com/.

silvan_rain’s avatarThe scanlation world reveals once again its bad side, i.e. an unfair battlefield, sadly. But you have to know that your work isn’t worthless since there are still people waiting for your releases, anyway. So, keep up your translating! ^___^ *huggles*

mell42’s avatarFirst off, thank you for all of your hard work! I have enjoyed each and every project you’ve scanulated for us! :) Second, I have found that your releases are very timely - almost ridiculously -, even more so considering that you are only one person. The quality of the material you chose would even allow for a bigger gap in releases. Once again, thank you for your commitment and dedication! I look forward - as always - to each and every release.

i understand how you feel, usually when a team decides to translate a comic others don’t have the right to translate in the same time, first because it’s bad rivalry, second because it’s useless, it’s a waste of time since there are hundred of others yaoi manga waiting to be translated !
but don’t worry ! i’ll wait for all your projects to be completed ^^i’m very patient !
again thx for your hard work (must not be easy to work during the day and to dance during the night and then to find time to translate !)
