Dee ~ at present, it’s one volume (as listed above, chapter 1-5).

This is my personal view: there’s chapter 6 (”Melancholy Butterfly”) that takes place six months after the events of volume 1. But, there’s no official announcement on whether to turn it into volume 2, let alone whether there would be more chapters to come. As far as I know, Mizushiro herself doesn’t know.

I wouldn’t have taken a second glance, but someone linking it on Yaoi_Daily, and the art caught my eye. I’m very glad I read it, as it is a very beautiful and complex story. I had to pick up the Japanese version and finish reading it after I saw these scanlations. Chapter 5 will take you a while with those seventy pages, eh? But that chapter was really beautiful (though the Japanese tripped me up in a couple of places, but what an interesting Japanese that was). I’m happy you led me to this manga, I’ve really enjoyed it, and good luck with further scanlations!

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, thank you so much for leading me to this manga. I picked it up and finished it after I saw your scanlations, and I’m so happy ch.5 is out. I personally think it’s the best chapter of the manga, and it’s great that others can see how awesome it is too. Thank you for all your hard work on this series; I know that it is very intimidating, but like you, I had to read this one. I rarely “read” Japanese manga straight through, opting to skim through the pages and read important passages to get a general feel before deciding whether it’s worth an in-depth read. But for this one, I couldn’t put the book down. The Butterfly extra is…well, I’m glad I read that too. I always check her website to see if there will be more of this series, and I keep hoping that something else will pop up one day.

Ok, I’m going to beg here. I live in Shanghai, Mediafire and Badongo have recently been blocked by the powers that be, and pretty much only Savefile works. I am always very happy to come across manga (yaoi or otherwise) that have real emotional depth, and your translation style is very well suited to bringing out the nuances of such stories. Not only did I enjoy this story immensely (and am looking forward to the sequel), but as Kuneida and Ichiko are favorites of mine, I’m pleased that someone whose skills are obviously up to the task has taken on so much of their work.

I agree with Pinta and Myself: I enjoyed this manga because it strayed off from the usual yaoi formula.

Instead of instant love, the feelings of the main guy change over time in a natural way. It took time and the guy wasn’t overly conscious of every little thing.

Unlike in the standard run of the mill yaoi manga, where the lead often gets flustered right from the start when he’s with the love interest and starts to act and think like a sappy girl, even if he actually is suppoed to be straight at first. At least in this manga the straight guy feels like one^.

It is nice to see natural development, without it being in your face. It also feels fairly realistic. At least compared to other BL’s I read ^_^
The pacing is good as well. And I very much appreciate that the uke isn’t forced into anything, just for the sake of fast and early smex for the readers. And both leads don’t act stereotypical to their respective top and bottom roles.

So thank you very much for scanlating and translating one of the better yaoi manga’s out there

It’s odd, in a way, that I like these characters so much because both the main characters have fidelity issues, and we never really get to see why Imagase fell so hard for Ootomo. I mean, I can understand love at first sight, but why would an attraction based on looks alone persist for ten years or more? *shrug* Such are the wayward ways of the human heart, perhaps. In any case, these two are oddly well-suited, and their unconventional path to love is truly captivating.

This is one of the more complex (and believable) manga I’ve read. So, I’m definitely eager to read any future chapters, once they become available. Thanks so much for scanlating and sharing!
